Sickle Cell Anemia Symptoms Do Vary
In case you haven’t heard yet, sickle cell anemia symptoms may vary from one kid to another. Some may be haunted by serious red flags while the others may experience mild manifestations of the disease. Most likely, it depends on the level of obstruction created by abnormal erythrocytes circulating into the patient’s body.
Sickle cells, in particular, may freely circulate into the system just like healthy blood cells. Unfortunately, abnormal erythrocytes tend to get themselves caught into narrow blood vessels. As a result, the disease carrier may experience blocked blood vessels that can affect normal functioning of your internal organs. Blocked blood vessels can also hamper oxygen supply thereby causing severe pain. Sure, you can expect the domino effect.
